So what’s the story in Balliemeanoch?

Posted on February 15, 2012

The best friend is setting up a B&B near Strachur, in between Loch Fyne and Loch Eck.  Apt really, she’s fallen in love with the place and also taken on one ‘eck’ of a project.

The B&B will be up and running by the summer, and then she’ll move on to the self-catering cottages; developing the gorgeous stone barns into even more gorgeous cottages. Set at the foot of Ben Laggan, in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and on the Cowal Way, it’ll the most perfect spot for exploring this great part of Scotland.

My job this week? To set up her twitter account and also her blog – she’s only been here since January, and already has so many stories to tell.  Her blog will be a rip roaring good read and you’ll love every update – my favourite one will be on the day she opens her doors for her first visitors.

She’s a great host and I am not just biased as she’s my best friend; she’s excited about this project and she wants to do it and do it right. She’s putting her heart and soul into this, a wee dram of magic, something every guest will feel and enjoy.
