Welcome to South West of England!

Posted on July 27, 2014

I spend a great deal of time travelling around England, visiting new places and working on different projects, but always come back to South West England.

North Devon - August 2009 RDA picture 3A region home to Devon’s beaches; Cornwall’s Eden Project; standing stones in Wiltshire; caves, cheese and cricket in Somerset; Dorset’s Jurassic Coast; boats and bridges in Bristol; Bath’s Roman baths and Regency elegance; and Gloucestershire’s famous Cotswolds hills. To give you just the tiniest taste of what’s on offer and to prove staycations rock!

In my blog, when the going gets tough, I talked about the issues facing tourism during the February 2014 storms, the @SouthWestUK twitter account and the huge ‘team’ of tourism providers who came together to tell the world about this special part of England.

This passionate and professional group of tourism folk continue to actively engage with @SouthWestUK and provide content for tweets to keep the profile of the area so high.

To really give this a boost, I’ve just put together a website which will direct visitors to all of the events, activities and fun to be had in South West England – hope you like it!
