A smile by email

As I sat in front of my computer, working my way through the, what seemed, unending stream of emails I’d received after being out of the office for a day – I suddenly got to one which gave me a huge smile.  I’ve been nominated for an award – Entrepreneur of the Year – and the awarding body had sent me the JPG image, so that I could use it on any of my social platforms.

So here I am writing a blog about it, not just to share the JPG, but because I am enormously thrilled and proud to have received the nomination, and after 3 years (this month) of running my own business, it simply feels great.

The icing on the cake has been the reaction I have received from friends (always a supportive bunch) and also from those people who follow me and interact with me on twitter and facebook.  The immediate tweets and posts of congratulations were unexpected, but very welcome.

So overall, today’s been a good day and I loved receiving my smile by email.
